A leader in the entertainment field for over eight decades, Universal Studios is a company with a glittering history. The mission for DRA was to create a single mark that could easily be modified for use by every member of the growing Universal family – which includes not only theme parks, but also a variety of other entertainment-related ventures. DRA’s solution was to take Universal’s motion picture “globe and name” and give it a more contemporary feel, without compromising the built-in equity of the mark. The result for the new identity was, as they say in the movie business, “a fresh take on a timeless classic.”
